Happy New Year!

Yes I know I’m a few days late but I have had a good reason… I’ve been relaxing :-) . I really needed the time off after all the craziness of Michael Cheney’s The Golden Thread program.

I helped Michael with some creation of email messages, articles, video tutorials and answering tickets on the helpdesk. Many, MANY tickets on the helpdesk ;-) . It was around 2 months of non stop action and a great experience. I had a blast doing it and got to know many wonderful people through the helpdesk.

So I spent the Christmas holidays taking it easy, spending time with family, practicing guitar and looking back on what I have accomplished in 2008. I also spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2009.

I really love this time of year because I can look back and see how far I have come since the beginning of the previous year and I really feel good about myself.

In 2008 I was fortunate to have made a couple of great friends in Michael Cheney and his lovely wife Laura. Michael has helped me so much this year and I owe him so much. Thanks to Michael, I am learning a lot about Internet Marketing and how to market properly. Without Michael, it would have taken me many more years to get to where I am now.

Michael is so positive and encouraging, that my confidence is growing more and more everyday. I know with Michael in my corner, 2009 is going to be a HUGE year for me!

Another great thing about all the “relaxing” I have been doing lately, I have had a chance to do a lot of thinking about a new product that I will be releasing probably sometime in March. I can’t wait to launch it and I think that it could really help a lot of people.

Since this is a new year, here is a list of my goals for 2009:

  • Launch new product in March
  • Meet Michael Cheney
  • Drive more traffic to my sites
  • Post regularly to my blog
  • Interact more with social media sites
  • Practice guitar at least 30 min/day - I know this has nothing to do with Internet Marketing but I love guitar… so what the heck :-)

So there you have it. You now know a little bit of what I did last year and what I want to do this year.

Here’s to a GREAT 2009!

Cheers

Behind The Scenes Info On The Golden Thread

Affiliate Marketing, Internet Marketing, Michael Cheney 4 Comments »

There’s been quite a buzz lately about a new product that Michael Cheney is launching on October 2 called “The Golden Thread”.

So what is this all about?

Well first let me tell you that since I’m going to be helping out Michael on The Golden Thread’s helpdesk, I have had access to the product for weeks now to learn the product, so that I will be able to answer any support questions that come up.

So since I DO know the Golden Thread inside and out now, I can accurately tell you what it is all about but at the same time I don’t want to give away anything that I shouldn’t :-) . After all we are all in the Internet Marketing market aren’t we? ;-)

First off, let me tell you what you DON’T need with the Golden Thread to make a lot of money:

  • your own product
  • your own list
  • affiliates or JV partners
  • experience
  • hours of training
  • website with more than 1 page

Basically the Golden Thread is a brilliant product that allows you to quickly get going and start making money with the least amount of work possible. The most time consuming part of making money online is the creation of content, unless you pay someone to do it for you.

With the Golden Thread you don’t have to worry about creating content because it’s all supplied for you:

  • articles
  • signatures
  • Adwords ads
  • Keyword lists
  • opt-in series messages
  • and the MOST important… CASH CANNONS!

What are Cash Cannons?

In a nutshell, Cash Cannons are video salesletters that have been tested and tweaked by Michael and proven to have made a massive amount of cash for many people.

The whole secret behind the Cash Cannons is that it uses psychological techniques to catch the viewers attention and make the offer irresistible to them. This allows you to not worry as much about sending traffic to your site because you will convert more viewers into buyers with the Cash Cannon compared to a regular text salespage.

I believe that this is just the beginning of the video salesletter and you will see many more of these in the future once people start catching on.

The Golden Thread is also easy to get started with. It is a plug and play system where you get:

  • 7 Cash Cannons already recorded for you
  • all the images, content and files you need to just upload to your website to start making money
  • a special Cash Cannon that offers a ready made freebie to people if they opt-in to your list. This is an easy way to start building yourself a list
  • step-by-step video tutorials that will show you EXACTLY how to set this all up
  • 6 weeks of LIVE coaching from Michael

So as you can see, this is one of the most complete and easy ways to start making some serious coin with your Internet Marketing Business.

And if by chance something doesn’t make sense to you, well you have an amazing support team that will be more than happy to help you out 24/7 :-) .

One more thing… if this sounds like something that is perfect for you, then make sure to grab it early because Michael will be limiting the amount of people into The Golden Thread program. He has to set a limit because he wants to make sure that everyone gets as much support as possible. And if you do decide to join, make sure you pop into the helpdesk and say hi to me :-) .

Thirty Day Challenge TV = Great Marketing Information…

30 day challenge, Immediate Edge, Internet Marketing No Comments »

… And GREAT guitars!

I love tuning in to the Thirty Day Challenge TV live streaming shows. Ed Dale, Dan Raine, Robert Somerville give the most up to date Internet Marketing information and they deliver it in an entertaining way. They also have some very experienced Internet Marketers moderating and also some very loyal 30DC and Immediate Edge alumni that offer their experience to help out all of the people that are trying out Internet Marketing for the first time.

Almost everyday of the Challenge this year… Ed, Dan and the gang, have hosted a live streaming event on Thirty Day Challenge TV to talk about that days challenge homework. They then open up the lines for a Q&A where you can ask them anything about the Thirty Day Challenge. Ed likes to pull out one of his many beautiful Vintage electric guitars and play while he answers them. He has quite a few brands in his collection but my favorites are the Gibson’s. Gibson Rules! :-) .

I think this is SO VERY important to anyone who is just starting out in Internet Marketing… you get to ask some of the greatest minds in IM questions and they go out of their way to try and answer every one of those questions.

Just think about it for a moment… how much does it cost normally for some consultation from Internet Marketers such as Ed and Dan? I would guess at least a $1,000/hour. Well, you get questions answered by these guys for FREE during the show.

So if you are new to Internet Marketing or you are struggling to make money in IM, check out the the Thirty Day Challenge for some amazing information and techniques to teach you how to do proper market research and get high Google rankings. Once you are more experienced, make sure you check out Ed and Dan’s monthly membership called Immediate Edge, where you can take your business to the next level.

After 5 weeks away, I’m back home and trying to catch up on everything that’s going on in Internet Marketing.

Initially, I had planned a 2 week trip to spend some time with my father but when I got there I found out that my dad’s knee was acting up and he was in considerable pain. He’s 88 years old and has 2 types of arthritis in his knee. Please don’t ask me to name them ;-) .

He lives on a 60 acre farm, where I lived my entire childhood, way out in the boonies. When I was growing up, we had cows, chickens, geese, rabbits, bees, goats, dogs… many, many, many cats… and we even had an OWL. My father found an injured owl in the woods and took him in until it healed. I’m pretty sure I’m the only one in my town that had an owl as a kid :-) .

Today he only has a cat, dog and 14 rabbits. With his knee hurting so bad, he couldn’t even walk around to take care of his animals. We took my father to see the doctor and he prescribed some pills for him but he needed to stay off his feet and take it easy for awhile.

Well, because of my good old Internet Marketing business, I was able to take the 5 weeks off to get my pop’s healthy again.

The reason I haven’t blogged since then was because where my father’s farm is, there is only dial-up Internet available. I would turn on my computer and it would take me 10 minutes just for my browser to start up.

I did do some work while was there but only to help out on Michael Cheney’s helpdesk for a few hours every night. I really couldn’t do much else because the dial up charges are outrageous for the the amount of time it took to complete a task.

But anyways I’m back now and slowly getting back into my IM routine. I’m trying to catch up to this years 30 Day Challenge lessons (I’m sure I’ll be posting more about this in the near future) and I will be working on Michael Cheney’s coaching program.

I have a huge amount of work to catch up on since I was gone for so long but I don’t care because I got my dad feeling better and stronger by cooking his meals, cleaning his house and feeding his animals for him for 5 weeks.

Man, I think I need a vacation ;-) .

Just kidding. I’m just grateful that I’m in a position where I could do this for him.

What Is Social Media Marketing?

Social Marketing No Comments »

Well the short version answer for that question would be that social media marketing is the use of social communities such as Digg, Stumbleupon, Propeller etc. to submit content to and receive links and traffic to your website in return.

Using these social media sites can bring you in large amounts of traffic but it’s not automatic. You don’t just throw up any old piece of content and expect to get placed on the front page of Digg or get hundreds of favourable comments on Stumbleupon. You must submit GREAT quality content.

Just think about when you are looking through these sites. Do you give just any old site the thumbs up on Stumbleupon? Heck no! Do you “Digg” an article because you feel obligated? Nope again! That’s the beauty of social media sites… we choose what we WANT to see and we reward the sites we LIKE. If we don’t like it… we give it a thumbs down, bury it, report it as spam etc.

So create great quality content!

Also, don’t just submit content all the time… actually use these sites the way they were intended to be used. Check out sites on Stumbleupon and give them a thumbs up or thumbs down. Go read articles on Propeller and vote for them or sink them. If all you do is submit articles all the time and don’t actually social bookmark, digg or comment on other member’s submissions, you will be looked at as a spammer and most likely kicked out.

So what do you gain from all this time you spend in these communities?

One of the most important things is that you will get high quality links coming to your site. Google loves these sites because of all the great content and it is possible that they could index your submissions in a matter of hours. If you have done your keyword research properly, you can get lots of traffic from a high ranking in Google.

You can also get a lot of traffic just from these social media communities alone. They get a huge amount of traffic reading through their content each and every day and if your article looks interesting, they will come to your site.

So if you haven’t already… go join these social media sites… spend some time in each one commenting, voting and making friends… then submit some great quality content and watch the traffic roll in :-)

Happy Father’s Day Dad!

Family No Comments »

I called my Father today to wish him a Happy Father’s Day and we talked for a whole 5 minutes.

If you know my Father, that’s pretty good for him. He’s not much of a phone talker because he can never find anything to say.

I don’t know why… you sit down with him over a couple of beers and he’ll talk your head off for hours but put a phone to his mouth and you can barely get more than one sentence out of him.

I guess he’s just not used to it. He’s old school. No phones where he grew up and when he came to Canada from the Ukraine, the last thing that he wanted to do in this big beautiful country was to sit down on his butt and yap on the phone.

He would rather be outdoors fishing, hunting or just working on his farm. None of this girly talking on the phone stuff. He’s a real man’s man.

He’s a tough 88 year old Ukrainian/Canadian who has survived a war (got shot twice), worked 40 years as a uranium miner and busted a lot of heads in drunkin’ barroom brawls.

They don’t make em any tougher than my dad.

I call him every Friday to see how he’s doing. I’ve made sure to call him every week since my beautiful Mother passed away a few years ago. He never has much to say but he ALWAYS says “thanks for calling” at the end of each phone call.

Another thing he always says is “when are you coming to visit?”. Well, trying to get my business to where I want it to be means I have to work a lot of hours and I need my high speed Internet to be able to work fast. My father only has dial up where he is and that just wont cut it. I am looking into seeing if I can get wireless or a satellite Internet hook up while I’m visiting, so I can spend more time with him.

Family is more important to me than anything else so I want to spend as much time as I can with him.

So I’m planning a trip to visit my Dad in three weeks where we can have some drinks and talk till the cows come home :-)

Happy Father’s Day Dad!

Joke Of The Day - My Good Ol’ Dog

Jokes No Comments »

On a hot summer day, a country bumpkin came into town with his dog. He tied the dog under the shade of a tree and went into the bar for a cold beer.

About 20 minutes later a policeman came into the bar and asked who owned the dog tied under the tree. The bumpkin said that it was his. The policeman said, “Your dog seems to be in heat.”

The bumpkin replies, “No way dog’s in heat…she’s cool kawse I got ‘er tied unner the shade tree.”

The policeman says, ‘No! You don’t understand your dog needs to be bred.’

“No way,’ the bumpkin says, ‘dog don’t need bread, she ain’t hongry, kawse I fed ‘ER beef jerky this mornin’.”

Now the policeman gets mad and yells out; ‘NO! You don’t seem to understand, your dog wants to have sex!’

The redneck looks at him with a long pause and says,

“Go ‘head. I always wanted a police dog.”

Now My 5 Month Pregnant Wife Wont Kill Me!

Hi everyone!

You know what my two favourite things about my Internet Marketing Business are?

The first one I’ll tell you about is not necessarily my favourite of the two but it’s the most obvious…

… Money!

We all need money to survive, to eat, to raise a family, to provide shelter.

We all want money to buy nice clothes, to go on nice vacations, to give to charities.

But my other favourite thing is that I can HELP people!

Nothing feels better than getting a compliment for doing something that someone appreciates.

Nothing feels better than giving some helpful information to someone that changes his or her life.

It just feels great to help.

Last night I was helping Michael Cheney with another one of his live events. This one was to promote the final hour of his Automatic Income System program. We started the show at 8PM EST and the show ended at 9PM.

So this show was to remind people that if they wanted to invest in AIS, they would have to buy it by 9PM because Michael was pulling it off the market forever.

Well Michael threw in a little surprise. He gave away a free “scholarship” to the Automatic Income System to the first person who emailed the answer to his question… “How many ready-made websites do you get with the Automatic Income System?”

I was also looking after the email account for Michael and there was a short pause and then BAM… 50+ emails came in. By the time I opened the 1st email and sent the information over to Michael, another 30 or 40 emails came in.

It was pretty exciting; I actually had butterflies in my stomach just before he asked the question.

The best part of all of this was how happy and grateful the person who won the scholarship was. He sent Michael an email that went something like this…

——
Michael,

Thank you so very much!  I’m absolutely thrilled to have won this and have
the opportunity to learn from you and your team.  I really wanted this but I
know my wife, who is 5 months pregnant, would KILL me if I bought it.  I
just can’t believe that I was lucky enough to win this.

Again, thank you VERY much!!

——
Absolutely amazing and funny as hell!

He seems like a really nice guy and who knows, maybe we will JV sometime ;-)

Man I’m pooped!

Internet Marketing, Michael Cheney No Comments »

I’ve been working my butt off the last few weeks tying to get as much done as possible and getting only around 5 hours of sleep a night.

What have I been doing? You know… content, content, content! That’s the best way to make money with Internet Marketing and I want to see results as soon as possible. The more content you put out, the more chances of making a sale.

Some of the things that I’ve been doing are:

  • writing articles that link to an opt-in page on one of my niche sites to grow my list
  • completing my assignments that I’ve been getting from Michael Cheney’s coaching program
  • helping Mr. Cheney out by answering tickets on his Automatic Income System helpdesk.

Now I’m sitting here and its almost 1AM and I’m trying to write a blog post. I’ve been trying to write this post for hours now but the helpdesk has been keeping me busy. I’m looking after the helpdesk tickets for Michael while he tries to get a few hours of sleep.

Have I told you I’m pooped :-)

Oh well it’s worth it. I love doing all of this stuff and it’s starting to pay off.

Because of my article writing, my niche site’s list is now up to around 160 people. Last Thursday I made a $247 affiliate sale and best of all I’ve made a great friend in Michael Cheney.

Damn I’m a lucky guy to be able to do this for a living!
